Styrelsen för Svenska institutet i Athen ledigförklarar härmed tjänsten som direktör för Institutet för en tid av tre år att tillträdas den 1 januari 2017. Förordnandet kan förlängas med tre år. Tjänstgöringen, som är reglerad av en särskild instruktion, är förlagd till Athen. I tjänsten ingår undervisning, administration och forskning. Lön efter överenskommelse.
Styrelsen för Svenska Institutet i Athen ledigförklarar härmed institutets forskningsstipendier för höstterminen 2016 och vårterminen 2017. Stipendierna är avsedda för dem som ägnar sig åt vetenskapligt och självständigt studium av ämnen med koppling till institutets verksamhet som förutsätter vistelse i Grekland. Sökande skall ha anknytning till svensk universitetsmiljö. Visst företräde ges för sökande från Antikens kultur och samhällsliv, men bedömning sker beroende på ansökningarnas kvalitet och relevans.
This volume contains the proceedings of the conference “Mycenaeans up to date: The archaeology of the north-eastern Peloponnese—current concepts and new directions“, which was held 10–16 November 2010, under the auspices of the Swedish Institute at Athens.
On September 3, representatives of the three Swedish research institutes in Athens, Istanbul and Rome presented and discussed their activities and visions at the seminar The Importance of the Mediterranean Research Institutes for the the Humanities in Sweden. The seminar, successfully arranged by the Axel and Margaret Ax:son Johnson Foundation at Engelsberg Manor in the Västmanland region, attracted an audience consisting of politicians, journalists and representatives of the cultural sector for a day of stimulating discussion. Director Arto Penttinen, Assistant Director Jenny Wallensten and the Vice President of the Board of the Institute, Prof. Gunnel Ekroth, spoke on behalf on the Swedish Institute at Athens.

Welcome to the Autumn 2015 series of Athens Greek Religion Seminars.
The project: A Greek cityscape and its people. A study of Ancient Hermion is a collaboration between the Ephorate of Antiquities of Argolida and the Swedish Institute at Athens. The fieldwork began this summer with five intensive days of 3D laser scanning and surveying with GPS. Focus lay on the presumed temple of Demeter Chthonia and its surroundings. We furthermore traced the ancient city wall and started re-investigating visible remains in the important necropolis situated along the road to the ancient city of Mases.
