The Swedish Institute at Athens and the Department of Music Studies at the Ionian University in Corfu are pleased to present Rebecka Törnqvist, Sweden’s contribution to the Athens Jazz Festival 2026.

Rebecka Törnqvist, one of Sweden’s most distinguished voices on the contemporary jazz scene, will give a masterclass for music students at the Ionian University, as well as perform in a concert open to the public.

Rebecka Törnqvist is one of Sweden’s most highly regarded jazz and singer-songwriter artists, known for her distinctive voice, poetic lyrics, and unique musical expression where jazz, pop, and Nordic influences meet. Over many years, she has been a central figure on the Swedish music scene and has collaborated with numerous acclaimed musicians and artists.
