Through the eyes of Romans: integrated computational methods for investigating the visuality in digitally reconstructed ancient buildings

Föreningen Svenska Atheninstitutets Vänner utlyser härmed tre stipendier om vardera 25 000 kronor. Stipendierna, för minst en månads vistelse i Athen, kan sökas av forskare, författare, konstnärer och kulturarbetare i vid bemärkelse med anknytning till Sverige eller svenska institutioner. De avser greklandsrelaterade temata med en bred tvärvetenskaplig målgrupp, med ämnesområden som spänner från antiken via Bysans och medeltiden till antikreception i senare perioder och Greklands moderna historia (från 1700-talet till i dag).

Svenska institutet i Athen hälsar er välkomna till ett föredrag av Marie Mauzy med titeln Sårade soldater, farsoter och karantän - Svenska Röda Korssystrar i Grekland 1897, 1912 och 1913.

The course aims to deepen advanced students’ understanding of ancient Greece, ranging from Prehistory to historical periods. Through excursions, lectures, and library study, this is a great opportunity for students to acquire a contextualized in situ knowledge of archaeological material, excavation sites, monuments, and museum collections in Greece.
