Exhibition ”Silk & Soufli”
Artistic exchange between Sweden and Greece
Published: 2025-06-06

The Swedish Institute at Athens, KONSTFACK, the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), and the Association of Friends of Silk warmly welcome you to the exhibition “Silk & Soufli”, which opens on Sunday, June 22 at 19:30 at Mansion Brika in Soufli.
The exhibition will be open until June 29, from 18:00 to 21:00. Free admission.
The exhibition Silk & Soufli presents the results of a creative encounter between students and teachers from Konstfack and the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA). The collaboration took place within the framework of the program “A Common Thread. Artistic Exchange Sweden–Greece”, which was held in Soufli in 2019 and 2022.
Through workshops in silk production, natural dyeing, weaving, and contemporary design and printing techniques, the participants delved into Soufli’s local production and cultural heritage, with silk serving as a common thread of inspiration and creative exploration.
The exhibition, which has previously been shown in Athens and Stockholm, now returns to the place where it all began. It is included in the program of the 2025 Silk Days. Through the students’ works, Soufli’s unique identity and the importance of international artistic collaboration are highlighted.
