From dinosaurs to grandmother – back to the future

A seminar on joyful learning through cultural heritage

dino grandmother 2023

We are pleased to invite interested colleagues to an evening seminar presenting a project about joyful learning through culture heritage. Warmly welcome on the 12th or 13th of June! (The same seminar will be given twice.)

The seminar builds on the project From Dinosaurs to Grandmother – Back to the Future, which set out to investigate 5-year old children’s thoughts about ‘the olden days’, and involve these children in dialogue about time and history. During the seminar we will present some conclusions and a method for collaboration between museum, preschools and culture heritage societies.

The From Dinosaurs to Grandmother– Back to the Future project was a great success and has received prizes, for example regarding education for sustainability (OMEP, The World Organization for Early Childhood Education) and was nominated for the Swedish UNESCO Prize 2021 and FUISM (Pedagogy in Swedish museums) prize 2021.
