It is with great pleasure that we announce the International Roundtable Resilience and Reconciliation: Democracy in Crisis and Repair across History, organized by the Swedish Institute at Athens in cooperation with the Netherlands Institute at Athens and the other Nordic institutes: the Finnish, the Danish and the Norwegian Institutes at Athens.
The Roundtable, consisting of two sessions, will take place on 29 April 2026 at the Swedish Institute at Athens.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is 7 January 2026.

This Roundtable is the first in a series of events that Swedish Institute at Athens in cooperation with the Netherlands Institute at Athens and the three other Nordic Institutes will organize in the city often referred to as the Cradle of Democracy, focusing on the challenges posed to Democracy from a diachronic and interdisciplinary perspective.
