The Swedish Institute at Athens and the Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul welcome you to the 2024 Gustav Karlsson Lecture on Byzantine Culture and Literature.

Dr. Aglae Pizzone, University of Southern Denmark, will give a paper entitled

Questions of methodos: the reception of Byzantine rhetorical theory in Early Modern Europe.

The lecture takes place on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 19:00 (Athens) in a hybrid format with live presence at the Swedish Institute at Athens, Mitseon 9, and online via Zoom.
