Fridhem Jazz Session, 2023

The cultural project ‘Jazz Sessions in Kavala’ moves this year to Fridhem in Sweden!

In collaboration with the Jazz departments of Fridhem Folk High School and Ionian University, the educational and cultural project Jazz Sessions  takes place for the fourth time, this year in Fridhem, with students and lecturers from Sweden and Greece.

The fourth intercultural musical exchange between Fridhem’s Jazz line (Sweden) & the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University in Corfu (Greece), will take place during three intensive days (7-9 December). Students from both schools play together and are taught by each other’s teachers, under the supervision of Anders Vestergård from Fridhem Folk High School and Dimos Dimitriadis from the Ionian University, as well as the composer and guitarist Andreas Hourdakis and the Swedish trumpet player Anders Bergcrantz as guest-star.

At the same time, a concert open to the public will be prepared! The concert will take place on the 9th of December 2023, at 19.00 (Swedish time), in Fridhem Folk High School, with free entrance.
