Master Classes and Seminars withNicolas Kolovos and Olle Wirenhed

Swedish-Greek award-winning film director Nicolas Kolovos, accompanied by the Swedish creative producer Olle Wirenhed will visit Athens for a series of master classes and exiting events. They will talk about their work and about today’s film industry with specific focus on co-productions between Sweden and Greece, as well as between Sweden and other European countries. This is a great opportunity to see clips of their work and some of their short films, among others “FIG”, which have won several international film awards.

European Day of Languages 2016

The Swedish Institute and the Swedish School at Athens participated in the Multilingual Festival for the celebration of the European Day of Languages, at Technopolis, Athens, Saturday 24 September 2016, 10.00 to 15.00.

The multilingual festival and its programme that was full of events and happenings was organized jointly with twelve other countries represented by their institutes and embassies, all members of EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) with the aim to promote language learning.

Jan Guillou in Athens

Swedish award-winning writer and journalist Jan Guillou visited Athens for two exciting events. Mr Guillou talked about his life and work, which has been translated into more than 20 languages and revolves about themes concerning world history, international political relations and the law.

Naoko Sakata Trio at the 16th Athens Jazz Festival

The Swedish Institute at Athens has invited the jazz band Naoko Sakata Trio to perform at the

–  16th Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival on Saturday, May 28, at 23.00 hours and
  14th Preveza Jazz Festival on Sunday, May 29

The band consists of Naoko Sakata (piano), Alfred Lorinius (bass) and Johan Birgenius (drums).
