The new Acropolis Museum

The new Acropolis museum was inaugurated in June 2009 and is situated next to the Swedish Institute at Athens. In the museum are finds exhibited from the Acropolis such as kore statues, the Caryatids from the Erechtheion and relief sculpture from the Parthenon.The Acropolis museum seen from the terrace of the institute. Re-opening of the Archaeological Museum in Nauplion

The Archaeological Museum in Nauplion was re-opened on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 by the Greek Minister of Culture Mr. Antonis Samaras.

In the Museum finds from the area of Argolis are exhibited and many of those come fron the Swedish excavations in Asine, Berbati, Dendra and Midea.
